Johnny Mac's has become synonymous with team sports. Its story is that of one man, John A. McArthur ("Johnny Mac"), and one mission -- to assist families involved in organized sports. Mr. McArthur valued the life lessons he learned while playing team sports as a child and wanted to ensure those values were passed on to future generations. In 1967, he opened the very first Johnny Mac's Sporting Goods store to serve local athletes.
Thanks to the dedication and loyalty of athletes, Johnny Mac's has grown from a single "Mom & Pop" shop into a network of retail stores and outside institutional sales. Offering licensed apparel for local pro sports teams and in-store support services, Johnny Mac's is a convenient one stop team sports outlet. Although Mr. McArthur ("Johnny Mac") has since retired, his sons, Bob McArthur (President & CEO) and Rick McArthur (CFO), continue his mission of providing athletes with quality equipment and services in a family friendly environment.
